Instructional Designer

• Worked with SMEs to create course outlines and assessments for four health science courses.
• Worked with SMEs to revise three endocrinology courses and create multimedia for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
• Created Instructor Guides and Participant Workbook for in-classroom corporate training on running meetings.
• Reviewed and edited Facilitator Guide and four modules for Grandparent-Grandchild Connection curriculum.
• Wrote course outlines, learning objectives, readings, activities, and rubrics to convert five in-classroom courses on creativity into online courses.
• Wrote study guide activities for Google’s Doodle 4 Google student contest for Grades K-3, Grades 4-7, and Grades 8-12.
• Worked with subject matter experts to write scripts for video lectures for three community college IT courses.
• Wrote 72 chapter summaries, resource guides and PowerPoint presentations and worked with subject matter experts to create 10 online tutorials to accompany the Scientific American Environmental Science for a Changing World textbook.
• Wrote a demo critical thinking storyboard to accompany a Cengage textbook.

• Wrote entries on “sagging,” The Onion, Wikipedia and Wired magazine for the St. James Encyclopedia of Popular Culture.
• Wrote a case study on anorexia for a Kaplan University psychology course.
• Revised learning objectives and edited course syllabi for online division of the College of Westchester.
• Wrote question foils and edited reading lessons for teacher’s edition of Grade 2 Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Journeys textbook.

• Wrote the book Under Armour, a profile of the sports apparel company aimed at middle and high school readers, as part of the ABDO Essential Library Sports Brands series.
• Wrote an updated version of a Norwegian fairy tale for the Pickatale story app.
• Wrote an article on the Secrets of the Sea Vents for Cricket Media Group’s ASK (Arts & Sciences for Kids) magazine.
• Wrote an article on the Backwards Brain Bicycle for ASK magazine.
• Wrote an article on AustraliaDay/SurvivalDay for Cricket Media Group’s FACES magazine.

Copywriter:

• Wrote copy for mini-magazine for AARP’s Ace Your Retirement campaign.
• Wrote three resource guides for Google’s Made with Code initiative, aimed at getting girls interested in coding and computer science.
• Wrote online gift guide and promotional emails for Highlights magazines, books, and games.
• Wrote content for website and fliers for launch of Innovate + Educate’s Claim Your Talent campaign, designed to close the U.S. skills gap.
• Wrote content for relaunch of GI Research Foundation’s fundraising website.
• Wrote, revised and edited content for relaunch of website for Aqueduct Development, an app and website development company.

Copy Editor:

• Proofread 192-page book published by The American Assembly, On the Edge: America’s Middle Neighborhoods.
• Edited 12 video scripts on writing and grammar to accompany Cengage textbook.
• Created style guide and copy editing process as well as edited articles, databases and reports for launch of Medicare NewsGroup, aimed at journalists who cover Medicare.
• Edited articles written by A.T. Kearney’s management consultants for the 2010 edition of Executive Agenda and edited white papers for the firm’s website.
• Copy edited the book Lyin’ Cheatin’ Bastards, which pokes fun at U.S. political scandals.
• Worked with subject matter experts to revise and edit Kaplan University Graduate Education and Educational Studies courses.
• Edited 170-page faculty-written e-book for Kaplan University introductory psychology course.
• Edited China Focus, a four-book series for Grades 4-6.
